There are 3 golf courses in Perth itself, including the majestic King James VI course set on an island in the River Tay. The famous Murrayshall Golf Course is approximately 3 miles away. The courses at Rosemount and Gleneagles are within a 30 minute drive of Ackinnoull as are the equally impressive but less expensive courses at Glen Isla, Alyth, Kirriemuir, Auchterarder, Crieff and Downfield.

The courses at Ladybank, Scotscraig, Monifieth and Kenmore and the championship courses at Carnoustie and St Andrews are no more than a 50 minutes away.
